Program Works Launches Extensive Revamp of WorkSchedule.Net
UCF Business Incubation client adds security, features to one of the first online employee scheduling programs
Winter Springs, Fla. (February 10, 2022) — One of the keys to any technology is staying up to date with constant changes and improvements over time.
For Program Works, the developer and operator of WorkSchedule.Net, that includes launching a major revamp, partnering with one of the nation’s top security firms and adding new features for its enterprise system.
“We’ve been working on this revamp for more than five years as it is extensive and essential for the continued growth of the company,” says Robert Catron, owner and founder of Program Works. “We wanted to make sure the newest version of our technology was simpler, more intuitive, and more secure. I’m confident it is. Twenty years of customer feedback went into it.”
WorkSchedule.Net was launched by Program Works in 2000 to serve an unfulfilled niche for easy-to-use online employee scheduling services. At the time, it was one of the first online employee scheduling systems, but over the past 20 years, companies have more and more options.
Still, multiple major companies including national cable news networks, emergency medical services, home health care services, police and security services, and more utilize WorkSchedule.Net.
The employee scheduling and time tracking platform features an advanced calendar editor that allows easy modification of multiple shifts at once, sorting three levels deep, drag and drop, time zone translation, and much more.
Administrators can create their own customer shift properties to track. Built-in AI makes sure the schedule is built and adjusted within given schedule policies, like skill or location qualifications, employee availability, maximum daily or weekly hours, and shift separation.
Paid time off is blocked off on the schedule using a simple request/approval system that also tracks the balances of allowed days off. Employees’ time worked can be tracked via an online time clock or digital time sheets.
Today, the newest version includes a significant upgrade to the interface and adds in a new mobile app that has all the functionality of the standard application. Plus, the company has partnered with California-based DuploCloud to rebuild their entire network to make it faster, more secure, highly available, and fully SOC-2/ISO compliant.
“We believe with these improvements, we will be truly providing the most robust scheduling program on the market today,” Catron says. “In addition, the new platform is much better designed as a springboard for the many planned future enhancements on our roadmap.”
The beta version of the new WorkSchedule.Net, version 9, was quietly launched last May, but is now being featured on the new web site that was updated on February 1. It is anticipated the beta test period for the new version will be complete in May, though that could be extended through June.
New or current customers can start a separate version 9 beta company account now, and existing customers will be able to migrate their data from the old version to the new one starting later this month, when it’s convenient for them.
